Conversation With The Blues review

In this steamy follow-up to Blues Money release, Michael Pickett - on harp, vocals and occasionally resophonic guitar - is in rousing shape on 12 tunes.  He wrote the first 10, setting the tone with the opening Big Train with added horns and voices.  Guitarist Shawn Kellerman and pianist Doug Riley are strong aides as Pickett mines the blues style repertoire with impressive brio.  The River , Cecil and Spadina with hand drum accompaniment, a shuffling Bad Love and Night Comes are highlights.
